Leveraging Ambassadors Through Capacity Building

INERELA+ organised a two (2) days Ambassador’s Virtual training on the 16th and 23rd of July 2022.  The main aim of the workshop was to train Religious leaders leading constituents of INERELA across Africa to be better ambassadors for the network. These Ambassadors promote the work of INERELA+ and assist in creating and building visibility of INERELA+ in countries where they are based and they ensure that INERELA+’s work is known and recognised. The Training was facilitated by Fr Francis Nseka based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Revd Jide Macaulay based in Manchester United Kingdom.

The trained ambassadors were from seven (7) different Countries namely, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The training covered topics such as: Who is and what is the role of an ambassador; The history of INERELA, Vision, Mission, and Objectives of INERELA; Strategic Objectives, Values and peer Constitution of INERELA, Role of Country Networks; Networking, and Advocacy. Furthermore, this training provided an opportunity for ambassadors to network and share ideas and identify good practices, principles, or strategies which they can adapt and use in their respective countries.
